    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of McFarland (City) will hold a special public hearing before the Planning Commission on October 29, 2019 at 6:00 pm, at the McFarland Veteran’s Community Center, 103 W. Sherwood Avenue, McFarland, CA 93250.


    Project Description:

    General Plan Amendment No. 2019-001: A General Plan Amendment from Heavy Commercial to Low Density Residential and from High Density Residential to Low Density Residential;

     Zone Change No. 2019-001: Zone Change from C-2 to R-4 and R-4 to R-1

     Revised Tentative Tract 7214, Phases 5 & 6: A revised tentative tract to subdivide 11.9 acres into 19 lots within Phase 5 and 23 lots within Phase 6.  The subdivision will allow for single family residential units on the entire project.


    Project Location:


    Within the City of McFarland, County of Kern, generally located at the southeast corner of Elmo Highway and Garzoli Avenue.  More specifically identified as the remainder portion of Parcel 1 of Parcel Map 11194 and a portion of the North Half of the North Half of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 12, Township 26 South, Range 25 East, M.D.M.

    Dear customer: The purpose of this letter
    is to ask for your cooperation to conserve water. As of July 14, 2017, the Browning Road Well will be under repairs due to maintenance issues until further notice. Your property is located within the service area of the Browning Road Well. As a water customer, it is important for you to be aware of this impact to our water supply, as our water supply will be reduced. You are asked to use as little water as possible during the hours of 7:00 am - 10:00 pm daily. Additionally, we also ask that you refer to your watering days schedule and reduce the amount of outdoor watering as much as possible. We anticipate the repairs to take two to three weeks and we will notify you when they are complete. Please take the time to review this letter and follow as instructed.     Estimado cliente: el proposito de esta carta es pedir su colaboracion para conservar el agua. A partir del 14 de Julio de 2017, el pozo de agua Browning Well va a estar en reparacion debido a problemas de mantenimiento hasta nuevo aviso. Su propiedad se encuentra dentro del area de servicio de el pozo de Ia carretera Browning. Como cliente de agua, es importante que sea consciente de este impacto a nuestro suministro de agua, dado que se reduce nuestro suministro de agua. Se le pide utilizar poca agua como sea posible durante las horas de 7:00am - 10:00 pm todos los dias. Ademas, le pedimos que consulte  su calendar de dias de riego y reducir Ia cantidad de riego al aire libre tanto como sea posible.
